Pyrenees to Paris VIP Cycling Tour - Moderate level cycling with a ride on the Champs Elysees in Paris! VIP access throughout the last week into Paris, 8 Nights, 15-23 July, 2012
The Pyrenees is where the 2012 Tour will sort out the top GC contenders, with a lot of impressive mountain stages, and the individual time trial to Chartres will finalize a victory. Paris is the ceremonial final stage forthe GC leader but a prestigious stage to win for a sprinter. This trip offers it all! This unique trip will start in the Pyrenees with some mountain riding at a moderate level then train north to Chartres for the deciding time trial, and on into Paris for the ceremonial finish, but not before an exciting sprint, and not before your own Champs Elysees sprint!! Of course we include privileged VIP Access to the race on several days during this trip and with our professional guides, you will have other unique and professional experiences that only our French guides can deliver!

Izoard Bus - July 19, Peyragudes - again, perfect viewing for this final big climbing stage; you are at the finish line reserved only for VIP's where you see the stage unfold as it nears, enjoy champagne and snacks and excellent photos!
Relais Etape - July 21, Chartres - VIP reserved seating with food and entertainment during the time trial; see all the big names make their best effort and see who will put in the required effort to win overall! The deciding day!
Paris D-Day and VIP finish viewing - July 22, Paris - on the Champs Elysees, you will RIDE on the Champs Elysees ahead of the pros, cross the finish line and then go to private reserved seats in the Tribune Grand Palais.

Day 1-July 15: Arrival Day. Tour stage Limoux to Foix, 192km. For your arrival, we request to meet you in Toulouse first at the rail station by 2PM so that we can transfer to Pau and the hotel. Your guides will do a welcome meeting, set up bikes, and discuss the days ahead. Dinner will allow you to get to know the rest of your group for this amazing Tour experience to follow. (D)

July 16; Tour stage Samatan-Pau, 160km. Since the Tour arrives in town this afternoon, we plan about 50km of riding over rolling routes including the often climbed Col de Marie Blanc (15km at 4%). After the ride, we drive back to Pau to change and go down to the finish line area to take in the ambiance. The town will be abuzz with Tour de France fans, attractions, and more. Back to same hotel with dinner on your own tonight, suggestions provided. (B,L)

July 17; Tour on Rest Day. The Tour de France may be on a rest day, but we aren't! After breakfast we will organize a moderately challenging ride in the region on the stage of the Pau-Bagneres day with the climb of the col de l'Aubisque (16km at 7.2%). Total ride around 45 km with rollers and hills. If we are lucky, we may cross some of the pro riders out on a ride themselves keeping the momentum while 'resting'. In the afternoon, you can visit the town of Pau, or we will organize a visit to taste some local produce. Free time and evening on your own. (B,L)

July 18; Tour stage Pau to Bagneres de Luchon; 197km. With the Tour depart at Pau, we can enjoy the ambiance of a Tour stage start with a chance to watch the sign in of the riders, the line up and start by the whole rolling circus that is the Tour! We'll quit the Tour crowds and ride out of Pau for meandering 50km ride to explore the countryside and villages around Pau and return in time to watch the stage finish and some of the drama on the last cols! Dinner on your own tonight. (B,L)

July 19; Tour stage Bagneres to Peyragudes, 144km. VIP DAY - Izoard Bus at Peyragudes. After breakfast we load the bikes and then we must leave early to ensure a timely arrival in the ski station of Peyragudes - a one way entrance route. Upon arrival, we have all the best at the finish line of this final big mountain stage! Enjoy snacks, space to relax and watch the stage unfold before it arrives in front of you, and then have some champagne to celebrate the stage victor! Return to Pau again tonight, dinner enroute, included. (B,L,D)

July 20; Tour stage Blagnac-Brive La Gaillard; 215km. Travel day! From Pau, we provide you with train tickets that take you to Vendome in the upper Loire/Centre region near to Chartres. This is a long train and so we include a light lunch on the train. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel for the night near Chartres to be positioned for tomorrow's big stage. You will join other people concurrently booked in our Chartres-Paris Only package. Dinner on your own. (B,L)

July 21, Time Trial Day: Bonneval to Chartres, 52km. After breakfast, we will depart for a chateau visit and then to Chartres to see the Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site and marvel dating as far back as the 11th century! Afterward, it will be time to go to the Tour and your VIP experience at the Tour de France. We are organizing a special viewing site complete with a welcome aperetif, buffet lunch, champagne, and Tour de France souvenirs. Of course you have privileged viewing access on the TT route and will get to watch all of the top GC pros as they pass by our set up. After the time trial is over and the awards are handed out, we will depart on a train to Paris. We will arrange for you to have a light dinner meal on the train and then transfer you to your 4 star hotel near the Champs Elysees. (B, L, D)

July 22, Paris & VIP cycling experience; D-Day - as its called, but this is the BIG D-day of 2012: Riding on the Champs Elysees and going under the finish banner on this final stage! The morning is open for you to visit Paris a little before we meet again around 10am to go to the Champs Elysees and ride 10km of the last stage of the 2012 Tour. Our guides will organize you in function of our strict meeting times and get you on the route of the Tour for an easy but memorable ride. You will do 10km that includes the loop around the Tuileries, under the tunnel by the Louvre, onto the Rivoli, Place de la Concorde and all the way up to the Arc de Triomphe! After crossing the line you will have access to the Tribune/Grand Stand. We will break for lunch on you own, and regroup for the finish. You can have no better final day at the Tour de France! Be sure to stay around for photos of the cyclists as they relax and celebrate finishing the hardest sporting event in the world! Meet back at the hotel to close out the day before a free evening with dinner on your own. (B)
