2012 Details coming soon; below is a similar offer from 2011 that included the TT in Grenoble. The Chartres program will be very similar in services.

Chartres TT + Paris - Guided Tour

July 22: arrive in Lyon, transfer to your comfortable, centrally located hotel in Lyon near the Vieux Lyon, on your own. Meet your guide at 2pm at the hotel for introduction and a short orientation to the trip, then go to watch the results on Alpe d'Huez! You have some time to visit the Vieux Lyon on your own (old city). The Old Lyon is worth some time to visit, as it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and houses important religious sites and architecture dating to the Renaissance. Tonight we'll enjoy a dining experience in a traditional Lyon Bouchon - unique bistro type restaurant that is typical of Lyon. (D)

July 23: Open morning and time to visit before we depart by bus for Grenoble and your VIP experience at the Tour de France. We are organizing a special viewing site complete with a welcome aperetif, buffet lunch, champagne, and Tour de France souvenirs. Of course you have privileged viewing access on the TT route and will get to watch all of the top GC pros as they pass by our set up. After the time trial is over and the awards are handed out, we will depart on a direct high speed TGV train to Paris. We will arrange for you to have a dinner on the train and then transfer you to your 4 star hotel near the Champs Elysees. (B, L, D)

July 24: The morning is open for you to visit Paris as you wish. Meet again after you have your lunch on your own at 1:00 pm at the hotel to assemble the group to go to the Champs Elysees and the last stage of the 2011 Tour. You will then be shown to your seats in the Tribune area reserved for VIPs only. After the Tour finish be sure to stay around for photos of the cyclists as they relax and celebrate finishing the hardest sporting event in the world! You are free to return to your hotel on your own; free evening with dinner on your own. (B)

July 25: Depart on your own. Ask us for transfer help or other services including additional hotel nights in Paris.

Package Price per person in double occupancy: 1595 euros
Includes: 1 night lodging in a charming 3 star hotel in central Lyon, and 2 nights superior 4 star hotel in Paris. Meals include breakfasts daily, lunches and dinners where mentioned including gastronomic dinner in Lyon, VIP services on the time trial stage in Grenoble as described, VIP Tribune Grand Palais seating for the finish of the Tour in Paris, first class high speed rail transport to Paris from Grenoble, transfer to Paris hotel from the rail station, 3 guides for the group, motorcoach transport from Lyon to Grenoble, and souvenirs from the Tour de France.
