This is a 4 night Cycling Tour, 10-14 July, 2012
The Alpes is where the climbing begins in the 2012 Tour! This short tour is an option for people who are strong cyclists and want an exceptional experience at the Tour de France with some long riding, but dont' have more time to dedicate than 5 days. We are offering more opportunities to all levels of cyclists in 2012, those who ride seriously, those who ride a lot but for fun, and those who love the sport but don't ride much! This Challenging Cycling offer is for those who train a lot at home and want to ride at the Tour de France and get a few amazing Tour moments. Of course we include privileged VIP Access to the race on several days during this trip and with our professional guides, you will have other unique and professional experiences that only our French guides can deliver!

D-Day Bellegardesur Valserine, July 11 - ride across the finish line and go on the podium!
Village Attendance - St Jean en Maurienne, July 13 - hang out with former pros, media, and tour officials and team prior to the stage, including a ride out of the start line on the route of the day.

Day 1-July 10: Arrival Day. Tour de France on Rest Day. Arriving in Geneva, we will arrange a meeting time and group everyone for transfer to our hotel in Geneva. This leaves plenty of time for bike set up, welcome meeting to go over the tour and meet everyone. Dinner will follow and you can get to know the rest of your cycling enthusiasts like you on this action packed tour experience to follow. (D)

July 11: VIP Day - D-Day in Bellegarde! Tour stage from Macon to Bellegard, 194km. Start this trip off with a BANG! Not that it won't continue to be great, but this VIP day is possibly your best souvenir anyone can have at the Tour de France! Ride the last kilometers of the stage into Bellegarde sur Valserine, passing the crowds on the route of the race! Pass under the finish banner and go on the podium for some fantastic and privileged photos! In function of time, we will ride 60 km over mountainous terrain to the finish line, including Col de Grand Colombier (18.3km at 6.9%) and Le Col de Richemont, (11.5 km at 4%). After enjoy the race finish by the peloton and then we move on to our chateau hotel around Chambery, dinner on your own. (B,L)

July 12; Tour stage Albertville-La Toussuire, 140km. After breakfast, we'll organize a strong ride of about 80km from Aiguebelle to climb the Cols Grand Cucheron (16.3km at 5.3%) and Granier (10.5km at 8%). The ride continues back to the hotel whereafter you can clean up and change and have some free time, or catch the Tour stage on TV before dinner. (B,L,D)

July 13; Tour stage: St Jean de Maurienne-Annonay, 220km. VIP DAY - VILLAGE at St Jean de Maurienne! Up early to drive to the stage start where you can enter into the VIP area and check out the former pros, media personalities, and current pros coming in for the day's stage. You will then be able to roll across the start line on your bike and climb the Col de Croix de Fer (30km at 5.1%), from yesterday's pro stage and continue riding on down the mountain. 55-70km After this ride, we take the vans to Grenoble for the last night of this action packed tour! Dinner altogether. (B,L,D)

July 14; Tour stage: Saint Paul-Le Cap d'Agde, 215km. Departure Day!
Our short trip is over and you are free to depart on your own after breakfast. Trains to Lyon and Paris are possible from the nearby station. (B)
Persons traveling with their own bikes may wish to plan flights in/out of Lyon. Transfer to the Lyon airport is possible by express bus from Grenoble Centre.
All lodging in 3 & 4 star hotels, all breakfasts, 3 picnic lunches, 3 dinners according to the itinerary, 2 professional cycling guides, van transportation throughout, support vehicle for rides, all VIP accesses mentioned, VIP Souvenir kit, souvenir Discover France TDF jersey, energy kit including gels, bars, and drink mix, route book for rides, and Pre-Travel documentation.
